Farm is ideally situated to explore the Marches, Shropshire
Hills, Mid-Wales, Shrewsbury, Chester, Oswestry and Welshpool.
We
are 54 miles from Barmouth (a traditional sea side town)
and 70 miles to Snowdon. With wonderful scenic roads to
the lakes, wild open spaces and breathtaking mountains.
The
local area offers some wonderful trips, Powis Castle at
Welshpool being 9 miles, Shrewsbury being a mediaeval town
with a castle, gardens, excellent shopping and river walks
just 14 miles.
Llangollen
a historic town, with its famous canal and aqueduct.
Pistyll
Rhaedae situated in the Berwyn Mountains boasts a stupendous
waterfall, higher than Niagra and is just 35 minutes drive.
For
those feeling energetic a walk to the top of The Breiddens
to Rodney’s Pillar will afford spectacular views of
the Severn valley (on a clear day!). We are within easy
reach of the Severn Way and Offa’s Dyke.
Visitors
are welcome to walk around our 400 acres, but please remember
this is a working farm with moving machinery and animals,
children must always be supervised.
Private
free fishing is available on the River Severn, please bring
your own rods.
